The Spring Carnival is also an important fundraiser for SAPSA and the funds raised at the event this year will go directly to supporting the students of SAP.

Talent Show - May 19th
The SAP Talent Show is such a heart warming event! It's so fun to see the creativity, talent, and enthusiasm - best of all is the way the kids encourage and cheer for each other, even when things don't go exactly as planned.
We are looking for volunteers to coordinate with Kelly Weeks, who is graciously taking the lead in making this year's talent show an entertaining and memorable event.
We still need to fill the following roles: Performer Manager - help direct the nervous, excited waiting performers from their seats to the backstage area Back Stage Helpers - stand behind the curtain during the show and help performers before they go on stage, assist with moving gymnastics mats, props, etc Group Song or Group Dance Leader - chooses a piece, rehearses the group song - requires one after school rehearsal in addition to directing the group the night of the show Ushers - Stand at the entrance of the theater and pass out programs Sign up HERE!

Staff Interview: Rosaleigh Minder
This is Rosaleigh in the Health Office, and I’m here with Javon Neuman in 4th grade to do a student interview, and I’ll go ahead and let him start!
Javon: What job do you do at SAP?
Ms. Rosaleigh: I am St. Anthony Park’s Health Assistant, so that means I’m here every day of the week to help students get their medications, or if they are sick, I can help them feel better or go home, or take care of some injuries in case somebody gets hurt at recess or at gym.
Javon: What is your favorite part of your job?
Ms. Rosaleigh: I love working with the kids. You guys are so funny and so kind. You are just the highlight of my day, all day.
Javon: Who is in your family other than Eddie?
Ms. Rosaleigh: Other than Eddie! Well, we do have Eddie–he is in 4th grade at SAP as well, and then I have my sister and her husband, who is Eddie’s dad. And then I have my own fiance, and then I have my mom and my dad, too.
Javon: Do you have any pets?
Ms. Rosaleigh: I do! I am a dog person, but I have no dogs and two cats.
Javon: What do you like to do when you’re not at school?
Ms. Rosaleigh: My favorite thing to do when I’m not at school is to read books. I spend a lot of time reading books, and then I like to go out to different places like art exhibits with my friends.
Javon: What do you love to eat?
Ms. Rosaleigh: I love pizza and cheeseburgers and sambusas. There are families here that bring the best sambusa I have ever had.
Javon: What is your favorite animal, and why?
Ms. Rosaleigh: That’s really hard. I like elephants a lot because they have a very cool social structure, and some culture, too.
Javon: What do you do in the summer?
Ms. Rosaleigh: In the summers, I do some odd jobs, and then I like to go travel and do gardening in my yard.
Javon: What season is your favorite, and why?
Ms. Rosaleigh: Summer! I really don’t like being cold, so MInnesota’s really hard for me.
Javon: Why did you decide to be a health assistant?
Ms. Rosaleigh: Well, I worked in a clinic before I came to work at St. Anthony Park, and I really liked working with the kids at that clinic, so I thought this would be a good fit for me.
Javon: What is your favorite book?
Ms. Rosaleigh: My favorite book…oh my gosh, Javon, that is so hard! What’s your favorite book?
Javon: It’s a baby book from when I was young. It’s called Yummy and Yucky.
Ms. Rosaleigh: That’s cute! You should bring that in for me to see sometime. My favorite book, gosh, that’s so hard! I have so many. I don’t think I can pick. But when I was younger, I really, really liked the Harry Potter series, and I would read it over and over and over again.
Javon: There’s a new game on PS5 called Hogwarts Legacy.
Ms. Rosaleigh: I know about that, yeah! I don’t play video games, but it looks like fun.
Javon: What do you like to do outside?
Ms. Rosaleigh: I like to garden. I have some roses and some peonies…
Javon: Is that why you are called Ms. Rosaleigh?
Ms. Rosaleigh: No…
Javon: Were you named after roses?
Ms. Rosaleigh: Actually, that can be your question at the end, and I’ll tell you why I’m named Rosaleigh. But, I like to go hiking and things during the summer at the north shore.
Javon: Why were you named Rosaleigh?
Ms. Rosaleigh: I was named Rosaleigh, so it’s a combination of my grandmother’s name, who is Rosalynn, and my aunt, my mom has a twin sister, and her middle name is Leigh, and so my mom smooshed them together to make it Rosaleigh.
Javon: Oh.
Ms. Rosaleigh: Okay, is that everything? Well, okay. Thank you so much, Javon. I appreciate the interview!
