Can you believe we are almost to May? Race Day is next Tuesday, and the Spring Carnival will be next Friday. Enjoy these nice days while they last!

Volunteer for the Plant Sale

 

There are many different ways to volunteer the week of the big plant sale!


The SAPSA Plant Tent Sale will be on Wednesday May 13th and Thursday May 14th, with help also needed on Tuesday May 12th to unload the delivery of plants and set up.

There are plenty of ways to join in, and you don’t have to know a thing about plants to be a helping hand! Extended family members are welcome. Please take a quick peek at the Sign Up Genius to see how your family can pitch in!

Field Day Volunteers Needed!


From Ms. Paulsen:


Dear St. Anthony Park families,

 

Field Days are less than a month away!

We have scheduled Field Days for May 21st and 22nd.   


 K-2 will have their field day on Thursday, May 21st and 3rd – 5th grades will have their field day on Friday, May 22nd.   Both field days will be from 11:00am to 1:50pm. All students will be participating in 10 game stations and relay races with their classroom.  We will also have water games where students can simply have fun with their class and get wet. It will be a fabulous day in the sun!

 

To make our field days a success we will need many volunteers both days.  Please email me at karen.paulsen@spps.org to let me know which day you would like to volunteer!  Thank you so much for helping to make a memory for our students.

 

What will I be doing at field day?

Volunteers will be actively running stations with games and relays.  This includes assisting students with the games and moving equipment around as needed.  Water stations are included.

 

We will meet before field day starts at 10:30 am by the front door of the school. Please consider volunteering your time to make the day special for our kids.

Get ready for the SAP Silent Auction! The auction will be April 20-30, and will feature over 50 bidable items, including experiences, gift cards, museum visits, toys, books and blankets.

Park Perks at Sunrise Bank


In March and April, the Park Perks coffee bar at Sunrise Bank will be raising donations for the  St. Anthony Park School Association.  All dollars raised when people stop for coffee/cookies will go to SAP Elementary. So stop by the bank for your morning cup o' joe!





Spring Carnival Volunteers Needed!


The Spring Carnival will be Friday, May 8, 5-7:30. It's great fun, and most of the school turns out with family, friends, and members of the community.


To run this important fundraiser, we need many volunteers!

A talent show act from 2025

Talent Show - Audition or Volunteer!


The great Saint Anthony Park Talent Show of 2026 is scheduled for Friday, May 15th! The talent show will be held at 6pm at Murray Middle School.

Spring Activities in the Nature PreK


Nature PreK learned a lot about the weather this spring as we went back and forth between winter weather and spring weather.  Fingers-crossed—spring is finally here! We sang songs and played lots of animal games, created art with mud, planted flowers and saw our hyacinths and tulips bloom.   We made lots of different kinds of kites to fly in the wind.  We made cloud finders and learned about the different names of clouds.  We climbed trees, splashed in puddles, and read books about taking care of nature. We drew plans for our gardens and can't wait to start planting!

Last Call for Lost & Found


Clothing and other items in our overflowing Lost & Found (located by the stairs near the cafeteria) need to be retrieved by their owners by May 29, so please stop by to search for your lost hats, hoodies, mittens, scarves, coats and other accessories.


Unclaimed items will be donated.



Library Helper


Mr. Watson, our Library and Materials Management EA, would greatly appreciate help with reshelving books for an hour during the school week.
