Spring Book Fair -- Friday, May 12th or Online May 5-16th

It is Book Fair time! In addition to the Spring Carnival, our Spring Book Fair is also next week. 50% of all proceeds go directly to St. Anthony Park Elementary. Here is the schedule so you can prepare with your student:

  • Children will preview the sale with their class on Thursday, May 11th during the school day. During that time, they can note the items they may like to buy in order to budget for the following day or to make a purchase online.

  • On Friday, the Book Fair presale will be open for business in the school library from 7:15-8:30AM for students to purchase books, posters and other fun items. Families are welcome!

  • On Friday night, the Book Fair sale will be open for business from 5-7:30pm in the school library or cafeteria during the Spring Carnival.

If you can’t make it to the fair or you are busy volunteering, you can order online at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/sap from May 5 to May 16th. SAP also receives 50% for any online sales and if you order online, we can deliver the books to your child’s classroom for an awesome surprise.

  • Don’t have cash or a check? Don’t want to send your student with cash on the day of the presale/carnival? You can set up an eWallet, a cashless payment for your student. Go to https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/parent-how-it-works.html?fairID=5082202

  • You can set an amount for your student to spend, and they only need to give us their name and teacher’s name at checkout. Any money left will be saved in your student’s eWallet account for future fairs. Note: it will NOT be refunded to their card like it was in past years.

Are you interested in lending a hand with the Book Fair? We sure could use the help. We are putting together a team to set-up on Wednesday afternoon, as well as staffing the preview and presale. It's a nice time to get over to the school and see the kids get excited about literacy! Please sign-up HERE.

Talent Show - May 19th

The SAP Talent Show is such a heart warming event! It's so fun to see the creativity, talent, and enthusiasm - best of all is the way the kids encourage and cheer for each other, even when things don't go exactly as planned.

We are looking for volunteers to coordinate with Kelly Weeks, who is graciously taking the lead in making this year's talent show an entertaining and memorable event.

Kindergarten and New Student Welcome Night

Please help us welcome incoming Kindergartners and their families! We are looking for 5 volunteers Thursday May 11th from 4:45pm -6pm. The duties would be to greet new families, show them around the building, direct them to special activities (kindergarten rooms, bus rides out front) and work the check-in table.

We could also use people that speak Somali, Spanish, Hmong, Mandarin, Afran Oromo or Turkish. Please list in the comment if you speak an additional language.
