Wondering what to expect Friday night?

Here are more details about the event!

Fall Festival 2022 Friday, October 14 5-8:30PM @ SAP Elementary Forecast: 48-53F

Getting There & Parking The event is at school. The #3 and #87 buses stop at Raymond and Como. If you live local, please consider walking. If you drive, please consider parking several blocks away and walking so families with mobility issues or small children can park a little closer.

VOLUNTEERING & CONTRIBUTING TO BAKE SALE We still need volunteers to help the event run smoothly. We hope you will help out for a little while at the festival. Extended family and friends are also welcome to pitch in or keep an eye on kids while you volunteer. Another fun way to participate is by baking! · Sign-up to volunteer at the Fall Festival · Sign-up to volunteer at the Book Fair · Sign-up to bring baked goods for the Bake Sale

Is the Fall Festival inside or outside? Both! Book Fair, Science Scare and Little/Big Scare are inside. Be aware that it may be crowded inside - as always, some families may choose to wear masks. Everything else will be outside, so PLEASE DRESS WARMLY.

What is the movie? We’ve decided to run a series of shorts and cartoons, all rated G and PG. Because it will be the end of a long week and a very long day, we hope shorts will allow parents who have tired kiddos a chance to duck out of the event at convenient breaks. It will also make room for others to warm up, grab a snack, hit the Book Fair or just get the wiggles out and then join back in the entertainment without missing a beat.

Where will we sit for the movie? The movie will play from the bandstand area, facing the school. It will be clear once the screen is inflated.

What should we bring with us for the movie? It’s gonna be chilly. Please dress your kids warmly – it’s never too soon to break out the winter coats, hats and mittens in Minnesota! Warm kids are happy kids. Blankets for the ground are a great idea. If you bring lawn chairs, please sit towards the back so the tiny people can see well.

Will there be food at the festival? Yes! We will have bake sale items, pizza, cider freezes, water available for purchase while supplies last.

What should we do about dinner? We suggest you plan your own dinner – bring a picnic or grab something to go on your way to the festival.

How can I get tickets? Tickets are $1 each. We will have tickets on sale the before school on Thursday the 13th, before school on the 14th and at the event on the 14th. Tickets are cash or credit card.

Why tickets? We use tickets in certain areas to keep lines moving smoothly.

How many tickets will I need per child? We estimate that you might want 5 to 10 tickets per child.

For Budgeting:

No Cost: Movie, Pumpkin Run, Photo Booth, Scarecrow Garden & SPPL BookMobile

No Cost, Sponsored by SAPSA: Popcorn & Cracker Jacks for Movie

1 Ticket: Water, Bounce House, Make-a-Craft, Button Making, Science Scare, Little & Big Scare

2 Tickets: Pizza (Slice) and Cider Freezes

1-3 Tickets: Bake Sale Items

Cash or Card: Spirit Wear and Ticket Sales

Cash, Card or Scholastic e-Wallet: Book Fair

Can I pay with a debit or credit card? For sure! Tickets, Spirit Wear and Book Fair are also cash or card.

Where does the money go? Funds cover the cost of the event; additional funds raised support St. Anthony Park Elementary School!

Scarecrow sign up is now closed, but last minute scarecrows are welcome! Please plan to prop them up yourselves in the garden and provide your own signage crediting the creators. Scarecrows need to go home with their owners at the end of the evening or be collected by noon on Saturday.
