Wolf Pack Press - October 18, 2023

Thank you for coming out to the Fall Festival! The cold and rain couldn't keep the SAP community from coming together and celebrating autumn, friendship, and fun. Thank you to the team leads: Katelyn Shehu, Kerry Janisch, Sunday Mancini, Kerrin Flanagan, Annie Backman, Joanna Justiniano, Ann Fisher, Eric Haugo, Joel Van Valin, Kyle Doeden, John Riederer, Anita Severt, Lauren Renner, Chris Bach, Nate Grahek, Jim Schrankler, and Phil Abramson--plus a HUGE THANK YOU to all of the 200 volunteers who made this event possible! We couldn't have done it without you! This year, Great Gatherings made a re-appearance after 4 years. Between the two events, $8,700 was raised to support enrichment initiatives, students, and staff at SAP elementary.

Some Great Gatherings Still Available!

We brought back Great Gatherings during our Fall Festival this year. Great Gatherings are hosted events that we sell tickets to as a SAPSA fundraiser. Families, staff, and other community members host an event, pick a date, and we sell tickets to the SAP community. We were thrilled with the response at the Fall Festival! Thanks so much to everyone who purchased a spot at a movie night, bonfire, craft class, or other event!

We still have spaces available for many events! Take a look at what’s available and make a purchase here.

Please contact Kerrin Flanagan at secretary@sapsamn.org if you have any questions.

Dino's Dine Out - Oct 24 from 11-8pm

Grab a yummy lunch or dinner and support SAPSA/St Anthony Park Elementary at Dino's (by Snelling and Larpenteur) on Tuesday, October 24 from 11-8!

The address is 1700 Snelling Avenue, Falcon Heights, 55113. Just tell the cashier that you are there for the St Anthony Park Elementary School fundraiser!

Family Fridays

We need a team to host Family Fridays! One Friday each month, coffee and treats are served out in front of the school (seasonally) or in the cafeteria for parents, caregivers, and staff after morning drop off (7-8:30 am). This provides a space for adults to meet each other and for the community to develop. Team responsibilities include making coffee before the event, setting out paper goods, and cleaning up afterwards. Family Fridays are in danger of extinction without a crew of people to help run the event. Please contact Breanna Mueller at treasurer@sapsamn.org if you want to help.

Dexter's Corner____________

Hi, Everyone! It's me, Dexter Junior, the guinea pig who lives in Mr. Schrankler's science classroom! It was great to see or meet many of you on Curriculum Night. Anyway, I LIVE at the school, but I've noticed that for some reason, most of you seem to go back and forth every day. As the mornings grow darker, make sure you get to school safe and look out for one another - whether you're walking or driving, and even if you're running late! This is me, demonstrating... Have a good MEA weekend, and I'll see you next wheeeeek!

School Directory - Deadline soon!

With the start of a new school year, work on this year's St. Anthony Park Elementary School Directory has begun! The directory is the main resource for student and teacher contact information. It includes class and staff lists, as well as SAPSA, Advisory Council, and district information. Every family will receive a copy, whether or not they include their information.

You are not required to submit your contact information for the directory, but we encourage you to do so! It’s a great way for the kids to connect with classmates and friends. You may include as much or as little information as you choose.

Please fill out one form for each child you have at SAP. The deadline for filling out your information is Monday, Oct. 23, 2023.

Click this link for the online directory form: https://forms.gle/FKQn3fuoQvhVSQKD8

Please email directory@sapsamn.org if you have any questions.

Lost and Found

A PSA from Anne Schroeder, our wonderful Lost and Found volunteer:

There are already several jackets and so many zip sweatshirt hoodies in the lost and found! The rack is almost full, which means packing up old stuff for donation is going to have to happen soon. We are checking items for names to try to connect items with their owners!

Pretty please take a few minutes to label quickly-discarded-at-recess-sweatshirts, jackets, snow pants, winter hats, mittens, and water bottles.

Silent Auction

Looking ahead, we're preparing for the spring silent auction. This is a great and flexible way to help the school! For more information or to sign up, click HERE.
