SAP Open House and Tours

We need parents and guardians of current students to help promote our school! During this "school choice" season, families considering SAP really appreciate hearing from current families about their experiences with SAP. Please consider helping out with:

SAP Open House (Monday, January 22 from 8:00-10:00 AM)
School Tours (Tuesdays and Fridays throughout January - April).

The SAP Open House will be at school during the school day. We need volunteers to greet visitors and walk around with tour groups (led by students) to talk about what makes SAP a great school.

School Tours happen on Tuesdays and Fridays through the winter and spring. 1-2 tour guides lead a group around the school so they can see our awesome teachers in action. Training and direction are provided if you want it.

5th Grade Wolf Ridge Calendar Fundraiser

Just a few left! You have the opportunity to purchase a beautiful 12 month calendar featuring northern MN photos by renowned MN Nature photographer, Bob Berlute & support SAP 5th graders while doing so! 100% of proceeds go toward cost of the annual 5th Grade Trip to Wolf Ridge. $20 each. Order Forms were sent home with kids earlier in the month, or you can buy them HERE.

SAPSA Service Project

Safe Space Shelter in Lowertown needs soap and socks. Donations of bars of soap and/or new pairs of warm socks can be dropped off in the collection box located inside the school’s front entrance through the end of January.

Safe Space Shelter, an emergency shelter located in a Ramsey County government building, has 64 beds and operates overnight from 10 PM - 9 AM with some services also offered during the day. Reading over Winter Break

A note from Tina Tsui, our Library EA: Winter break is coming. Students can access our school library’s digital resources, such as ebooks and audiobooks, through MackinVia. It is available on any desktop, laptop, or mobile devices. Students can go to https://spps.mackinvia.com or open the MackinVIA app and select our school: ST. ANTHONY PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (please use uppercase letters if typing is needed.) Last but not least, don’t forget to check out St. Paul Public Library for books and winter programs! Have a wonderful winter break! And my warmest thanks to all the volunteers who have helped this year! Your work is greatly appreciated.

Parkway Pizza Dine Out

The next Dine Out will be at Parkway Pizza at 1909 Lexington Avenue North, Roseville, MN 55113 on Thursday, December 14th, and it will be all day. Parkway Pizza is on the corner of Lexington and Roselawn. This time you don't need to say anything to the cashier ~ they will be giving us a percentage of all the sales for the whole day!

School Choice Fair is at the St. Paul RiverCentre. We need volunteers to work with Dr. Duke, Ms. Hass, and school staff to hand out information and share what they love about SAP with families who are "shopping" for a St. Paul school. People always love the opportunity to talk with parents of current students, about their experiences at and perspectives of our school.

There are three shifts. Parking is easy and is across the street from the RiverCentre Parking Ramp & Transportation | Saint Paul RiverCentre | Saint Paul RiverCentre

5th Grade Trip Fundraiser

Over five days during the fall, fifth graders and their families raked leaves for 27 neighbors in St. Anthony Park. We had volunteer teams made up of nearly 20 fifth graders and their families and are so grateful for their hard work! Thanks to their efforts and the generosity of our neighbors, the fifth graders "raked in" a grand total of $2,775 which will go a long way to funding partial and full scholarships, which will help to make the fifth grade trip to Wolf Ridge within reach for all students and their families! Neighbors were very enthusiastic about supporting the kids and their trip and were super grateful for the work we did and the energy our rakers brought to every yard! Many of the neighbors we spoke with asked us to "put them on the list" for next year! Thanks to all who took part to make our first annual fifth grade leaf raking fundraiser a success!

SAP 5th Graders have been hard at work raking leaves to raise money toward their class trip!

Upcoming Events

- Friday, November 17 - Family Friday - Walk your student(s) to class and then join community members for coffee in the cafeteria! Sign up to volunteer or donate an item HERE.

- Tuesday, November 21 - Chipotle Dine Out - 4-8pm, 2720 Lincoln Drive in Roseville (NOT by Rosedale) - Use code 976HMVD when ordering online or mention the Saint Anthony Park Elementary School fundraiser if you dine in!

- Thursday and Friday, November 23 and 24 - No School - Thanksgiving Break

- Thursday, November 30 - School Spirit Day - Bring your favorite stuffed animal to school! (or, you know, a different stuffed animal that might be OK to forget at school for a while, just in case...)

Give to the Max Day

Give to the Max is tomorrow, November 16th! We know that Saint Anthony Park Elementary provides high-quality education and opportunities for our kids. But, did you know that SAPSA spends about $120 per student to provide kids at Saint Anthony Park with enrichment opportunities such as field trips and artist residencies? While most schools ask parents/guardians for money before each field trip, your donations to SAPSA allow SAP students to attend field trips and pay for transportation. SAPSA also contributes to community events, classroom supply stipends for teachers and specialists, materials for the science fair, the art room, and the library, and much more.

Obviously, SAPSA cannot do this alone. With your donations on Give to the Max Day, we can obtain much needed student supplies, help fund field trips, and continue to support the needs of all of our children at school.

Please consider donating to SAPSA so we can utilize those donations for the benefit of our students.

Also, don’t forget that many companies match donations made by their employees! Please contact your employer to see if they will match your donation to SAPSA.

Chipotle Dine Out

Looking for an excuse not to cook before the big Thanksgiving meal? Order take out or eat in at Chipotle on Tuesday, November 21st from 4-8 pm at 2720 Lincoln Dr in Roseville. Note that this is NOT the Chipotle at Rosedale Center - it is the one off Snelling, by the Lunds & Byerlys. 33% of proceeds from your purchased meal will go towards the SAP School Association. If ordering online, use code 976HMVD to indicate the SAP fundraiser or mention you are ordering to benefit St Anthony Park Elementary School if you eat in!

School Choice Fair

St Anthony Park Elementary school will have a small booth at the The School Choice Fair on Saturday, December 9th, at the St Paul RiverCentre. The fair is from 9am - 2pm. We are looking for parent/Guardian volunteers to help hand out information about our school. Principal Karen Duke, Vice Principal Gina Hass, and 1-2 staff members will also be there. Families will be "shopping" among all of the St Paul Public Schools. People love the opportunity to talk with parents of current students, about their experiences at and perspectives of our school!

We have broken up the time into 3 shorter shifts.

Parking is easy and is across the street from the RiverCentre.
