All this month Hampden Park Co-op's Round Up at the Register program will benefit SAP Elementary!
Thursday, September 26 - Welcome Night/Curriculum Night
5-6:30pm. Learn about the curriculum being taught in your student's classes (grades 1-5).
Saturday, September 28 - School Grounds Cleanup
9-11 am. Keep our school beautiful! More info below.

Walk, Bike and Roll to school day! Students are encouraged to walk, bike or roll to school. If you can't you could park a block or two away from school and walk the final blocks in. Students that ride the bus will be dropped off at Langford Park and will walk the sidewalk to school that day.
Now through October 15 - Fall Bulb Fundraiser
Get your tulips, daffodils and wildflowers here! Buy bulbs to plant this fall and enjoy next spring, while supporting our school! Shop online. Orders will ship directly to your home. The bulb sale is sponsored by Flower Power Fundraising. SAP Elementary receives 50% of all sales!

School Grounds Clean Up
Saturday, September 28th from 9am – 11am.

We need your help cleaning up the school yard! We are looking for volunteers to help with weeding, mulching, revitalizing the peace garden and making our school yard shine! Or, if you have a large vehicle, please consider signing up to run bags to the yard waste site.
SAPSA will have some materials for the jobs on site, but ask that you bring your own weeding tools and gloves and any yardwork tools that you think would be helpful. We will keep you posted if we need specific items.
Little helpers are also welcome.

The festival includes games, crafts, a bake sale, and a haunted house!

Great Gatherings
Do you throw a great dinner party? Can you lead kids in a craft project? Do you have a backyard fire pit or movie screen? Have another idea for a fun get-together? Sign up to host a Great Gathering! You decide how many people you would like to host, what ages, where, when, and what, and then donate your time and energy! Feel free to team up with a friend to host an event. Tickets to Great Gatherings will be sold at the Fall Festival on October 4th. Or click HERE to sign up!
School Directory
The SAPSA team is beginning work on the St. Anthony Park Elementary School Directory for 2024-25! The directory is the main resource for student and teacher contact information. It includes class and staff lists, as well as SAPSA, Advisory Council, and district information. Every family will receive a copy, whether or not they include their information.
You are not required to submit your contact information for the directory, but we encourage you to do so! It’s a great way for the kids to connect with classmates and friends. You may include as much or as little information as you choose.

Please fill out one form for each child you have at SAP. The deadline for filling out your information is Friday, Oct. 4, 2024.
Library Helper
Mr. Watson, our Library and Materials Management EA, would greatly appreciate help with reshelving books for an hour on Monday, Thursdays and Friday.

Lost & Found
And now an important message from our Lost & Found coordinator:
GREETINGS!
IT IS TIME! As the days get colder, PLEASE LABEL your child’s outerwear. Their last name is the most helpful.
WHAT WAS THE MOST LOST ITEM LAST YEAR?! HOODIES!!! SO. MANY. UNLABELED. HOODIES. (Black winter gloves take second place.)
Any outer layer that they might take off while running around at recess or PE is a good candidate for putting their name on. HOODIES, sweatshirts, sweaters, long sleeve shirts…jackets, hats, mittens, gloves, snow pants…as well as water bottles and lunch food containers.
If their name is prominently labeled, we will try to get the item back to your child! Just grab a permanent marker, and write right on the tag. Lost clothing that is not labeled can often be found in the Lost & Found, located in the stairwell across from the cafeteria.
