Read-A-Thon

Congratulations to our students, who vastly exceeded the Read-a-Thon's 195,000 minute goal, reading a staggering 373,995 minutes! Because of this, Dr. Duke transformed into a unicorn and bicycled through the school, to the delight of students!

It was very close across some grades, but the top reading classes winning an ice cream party for each grade level were Crosby, Cariveau, Krider, McGregor, Pratt, and Roth.

The Read-a-Thon is such a special event and a major fundraiser, and if friends or relatives still want to support our students, donations can still be made at https://www.givemn.org/story/Read2024.

Thanks also to volunteers Tammy Albrecht, Jen DeYoung, Beth Kary, Kerrin Flanagan, Anne Schroeder, and Sara Shepard. You counted a lot of minutes and we appreciate it!

Upcoming: Luminary Festival

Get ready for the third annual St. Anthony Park Luminary Festival, taking place from 5:30-7pm on Saturday, Feb 24th. We've had an unusual winter, but we'll gather whatever the weather with a lit path, hot cocoa, fire dancers, and an art installation by The Makery. Event is free and open to the public. Feel free to contribute an ice sculpture, fulfill an item or two from our Amazon Wishlist HERE, or volunteer to support this magical night.

LEGO League

SAP Teams Gold Bricks and Mighty Mini Figs competed in the LEGO League competition at Capitol Hill in late January. The kids all did a wonderful job of representing our school, presented innovative projects, and Mini Figs brought home the Robot Design Award! Thank you to Ms. Crowe, Ms. Phillips, and Mr. McKenzie for coaching this challenging and creative activity.
