Luminary Festival

The third annual Luminary Festival was a breathtaking community event! Thank you to the many people who came together and volunteered to make it happen, and to everyone who came out for it! Alisa Mee, Saint Paul Librarian, did charming, old-timey light up 'cranky' stories. Eddy the fire dancer and the rest of his troupe put on a stunning and exciting show. Anna Gaseitsiwe of The Makery built a beautiful art installation.

It's not too late to donate, if you enjoyed the Luminary Festival! Here's the link: https://www.givemn.org/event/Sapluminary

SAP kids and parents work on the art installation with Anna Gaseitsiwe of The Makery, Milton Square.

Science Fair Volunteers

The SAP Science Fair is coming up!  It takes place on Monday, March 25th.  Students in grades 3-5 have been working hard on their projects.  We hope to see a lot visitors during the evening session.  Students who complete projects at home will bring them to school the morning of March 25th.  Students who complete projects at school or during EDL will already have them at school.  Students will share their projects with other students and evaluators during the day and families and friends are encouraged to come in the evening of Monday, March 25th from 6-7 PM.  We are still in need of about 20 people to help evaluate projects during the day from 7:45 AM-11:05 AM.  It is a non- competitive format.  No science background is needed to be an evaluator, just the ability to ask students questions about their projects and to listen to students share what they learned.  Please also share with anyone else who may be interested.  Here is the LINK.

Please let Mr Schrankler know if you have any questions!

Kindness T-shirt Project

Art Teacher Mara Schriver and SAP parent Kari Jensen have teamed up on this project, and students have been designing graphics for shirts that spread a positive message of kindness, love, and peace. Kari and her business partner (Fable) will be selecting 10 designs and selling them on her children's clothing company website for 1 year. All profits will go to SAPSA.

Just about every class has created these designs. Stay tuned for more information!
